Jaxon defines passion and service to his community. He is a visionary, a catalyst, an organizer. He humbly and boldly leads by example and creates a spirit of service and democratic engagement in his wake. He has volunteered with Seattle Works at over 60 projects in the past five years and has led teams or served as a board member for the last three. Ask any number of participants how they came to volunteer and the answer is simply – Jaxon Ravens.

Many people submitted nominations verifying why Jaxon is so deserving of this award.  Here are a few of their comments:

  • – “Jaxon gives tirelessly to the Seattle Works community and the greater Seattle community. He is a connector and is always doing his best to introduce those around him to new adventures.”
  • – “Jaxon has endless energy for getting people together to do good things. Jaxon has encouraged me to get to know many people I wouldn’t otherwise know, and participate in activities I wouldn’t have otherwise attended.”
  • – “Without Jaxon’s inspiration and friendship I would never have become involved as a Seattle Works volunteer. Through Jaxon’s enthusiasm and inspirational presence, I found volunteering to be compelling, fun, and rewarding.”

From all of us here at Seattle Works, we thank you Jaxon and are thrilled that you’ll be receiving this honor for all of the work you’ve done for us and for our community!
