This past Friday Seattle Works opened its doors to our nonprofit partners for our summer Community Partner Open House.
Our friends from the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, The C4 Group, CHOICES Education Group, Seattle Public Schools, Washington Business Week and Jewish Family Services stopped by for snacks and conversation about how Seattle Works can support the amazing work they’re doing in the community.
We were especially grateful to have Carol Ryan from Explorations in Math (EIM) share with the group her experience working with HandsOn Leadership and Team Works teams and now volunteering as HandsOn Leadership faculty.
We’ve talked about the incredible work Seattle Works teams do for EIM before (https://seattleworks.wordpress.com/2012/04/26/handson-leadership-helps-make-mathfest-a-success/), but it was a great opportunity to share it with our partners and illustrate the many ways their organizations can get involved with Seattle Works.
Thanks to everyone who came out!
If you missed it, we’ll be holding another Community Partner Open House in September. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to make sure you receive the invitation!
