I know, I can barely believe that it’s September, but it is! And that means that Swank is right around the corner. Do you know what Swank is? It’s our annual gala that is so. much. fun.
Don’t believe me? That’s ok, here’s proof: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150416919076753.410641.71491521752&type=3
Step by step instructions to make sure you have the best night!
1. Talk to your friends. Mark their calendars and grab a head count for how many are coming.
2. Grab your tickets! http://www.seattleworks.org/swankregister We have people who come solo, come as a couple, come as a small group, or buy a full table. Whatever works for you! If you want to sit together, just decide on a Group Name and have everybody enter it when they buy tickets.
3. Find something fabulous to wear. This is no joke. Seattle actually dresses up for this one – don’t miss your chance!
4. Show up! It’s really that easy.
Still not sure? Head to our Swank Preview Party Wed 9/5 to get a feel for the event, see some of the items that will be up for auction, meet fellow Swank-ers, etc. http://www.facebook.com/events/250822995038618/ If it’s not for you, at least you’ll get to spend an evening outside with some wine.
Now, for what to expect once you get there:
The evening kicks off with a cocktail hour and silent auction. There will be games to play, raffle tickets to buy and great items like a year of Top Pot donuts or kayaking at Aqua Verde for you to bid on.
Up next you’ll be seated in the main room at Fremont Studios and the party begins! Wine and food galore, live auction fun, dessert dash madness and a wall dedicated to a twitterfall. That last part may not sound that fun, but boy does it get interesting.
The most exciting part of the night is when we announce the incredible total has collectively been raised and then do a lil’ happy dance! Swank accounts for about a quarter of Seattle Works’ annual operating fund and the dollars go towards our work to get more people volunteering, voting, investing in our community and stepping up as leaders. This event is inspiring in every way possible.
And the rest of the night looks like this:
A party that will be talked about for the rest of the year! Come to SWANK, or you’ll miss out: http://www.seattleworks.org/swankregister
Could your company be interested in having a table at Swank, or gaining exposure among 400 of the up and comers in Seattle? Sponsorship starts at $1500 and all it takes is an ask from YOU! http://www.seattleworks.org/swanksponsorship
We can’t wait to see your fine selves of Oct 13th!
