Occupation: Nonprofit Fundraising Consultant at Collins Group

2. Where is your favorite place to go in Seattle?

Alki Beach in the early morning before the crowds arrive.

3. Your first interaction with Seattle Works was…?

When my husband and I participated in the Bridge program. We are both serving on boards thanks to that experience.

4. What’s the best meal you’ve eaten in the Seattle area?

The prix fixe menu at Six Seven at the Edgewater. The view makes it even better!

5. Are you involved with any other Seattle nonprofit organizations?

I serve on the board of the Northwest Development Officers Association. It’s an amazing hub for resources, networking, and inspiring the Northwest’s hardworking fundraisers.

6. Which coffee shop do you frequent most?

The two closest coffee shops to my office on Capitol Hill: Stumptown and Kaladi Brothers. No matter where I go though, I always order up a chai tea latte.

7. What three words best describe your experience with Seattle Works?

Hopeful. Refreshing. Community.

8. Mariners, Sounders, or Seahawks?

Seahawks. There was a stretch of a few years where I spent most Sundays in the fall at Qwest Field.

9.  What is your most (or first) memorable volunteer experience?

My most memorable volunteer experience was in high school when I had the opportunity to plan a service day for my entire school. It was an amazing feeling to shut down the school and see my classmates out in the community serving others. I think it was that day that I knew my calling was in the nonprofit sector.

10. What makes someone a Seattleite?

A willingness to stick out ten months of gray days for two months with gorgeous views of the mountains and sound.
